High School Jewelry and Metalsmithing.
Students start by researching jewelry styles, creating thumbnail sketches, drawing up a final design which includes 2D and 3D versions of what they will fabricate out of metal. Students get to use authentic jewelers tools including : jewelers saw frames, blades, files, vises, grinders, anvils, various hammers, design stamps & punches, buffers, torches and other materials from start to finish. Students have a true appreciation for the effort and skill needed to create their lovely work. Seeing the pride and joy when a student puts on their necklace or ring for the first time makes my job truly rewarding.
