Raku.
Raku is a process in which clay work is removed from the kiln when it is extremely hot and glowing red in color. It is subjected to post-firing reduction (or smoking) by being placed in containers which blackens raw clay and causes cracking in the glaze surface. This process is very interesting because of the unpredictable results.
